Sklar Birkett Hemostatic Forceps are slender, ratcheted, finger ring forceps used for clamping vessels and controlling blood flow. They are similar to the Moynihan hemostat, with fully serrated jaws and commonly used in procedures in the abdominal area; however, the Birkett hemostat has slightly larger jaws and is often slightly longer.
