Sklar's disposable plastic sponge forceps are are commonly used in surgical procedures to hold gauze squares that will absorb excess fluids and blood from the surgical site or hemostasis. The ratcheted locking mechanism of these finger ring forceps securely grip the gauze and hold it in place. This product is similar in profile to the Foerster. It is available in both sterile and non-sterile versions, and has blunt fenestrated tip. Plastic disposables are economical and sold in bulk quantities.
